The case which was for representation by the accused’s legal council relates to the murder of a man [Silas Sishoka] in Alexandra in 2005.
The accused councillor [Chris Mabunda] and his co-accused [ Vijay Jeewa and Richard Nxokoeni] appeared before magistrate Ms Syta Prinsloo who postponed the case to 6 November, when the outcome of the representation and the inquest will be heard. Nxokoeni is currently serving an eight-year jail term for a case of robbery.
