Planned power outages to hit northern suburbs
JOBURG - Several suburbs in the north of Johannesburg will be hit by power interruptions on 1 November.
According to City Power, planned power interruptions will take place from 7am to 5pm on Saturday, 1 November.
The areas that will be affected include:
- Abbotsford
- Atholl
- Alexandra Ext 1, 3-10, 12-14, 16-19, 21-23, 25,28, 29, 31, 32, 36, 37
- Birdhaven
- Birnam
- Bramley
- Dunkeld
- Elton Hill
- Elton Hill 2-4
- Fairways Far
- East Bank
- Far East Bank Ext 1-6
- Houghton Estate
- Hydepark Ext 15
- Illovo
- Illovo Ext 1, 3, 4, 7-12
- Inanda
- Kentview
- Killarney
- Lombardy East
- Melrose
- Melrose Estate
- Melrose North
- Melrose North Ext 1-5, 7, 9, 10
- Waverley
- Wierda Valley
- Winston Ridge
The interruptions will be implemented to do essential maintenance work on the entity’s network.
The public are advised to treat their electricity supply point as live at all times during the interruptions as the supply may be restored at anytime.
