Police in Yeoville are looking for Lesley Kwenaite, a male suspect in connection with an Alex woman’s murder in 2012.
The victim, who comes from Alexandra, was allegedly strangled in a flat along Fortesque Street, Yeoville, and Kwenaite is wanted for questioning in connection with this murder.
According to the Yeoville police communications officer, Constable Thabo Malatji, their investigations had revealed that the victim was strangled and later raped just before she died.
“Our investigations also found that her body was kept inside the flat for about eight days,” said Malatji. “Lesley Kwenaite was the deceased’s boyfriend. He is from Zebediela in Limpopo.”
Malatji said Kwenaite used to work at a gym in Bruma. “There are some unconfirmed reports that he has cut off his dreadlocks. We believe he can assist with our investigations,” Malatji said.
