Takalani muppets to join Alex clean-up on Mandela Day
ALEXANDRA - Sanlam and the Takalani Sesame muppets will join the Greater Alexandra Chamber of Commerce (Galxcoc) for a blitz clean-up in Alexandra on Mandela Day on 18 July.

South Africa’s best-loved TV characters, the muppets, will be on hand to get their hands dirty along Vincent Tshabalala Road (formerly London Road) and the Jukskei River basin in the township.
Tendani Matshisevhe, marketing manager at Sanlam Sky Solutions said, “We want to empower people to live their best possible lives and create a world worth living in. We are taking part in this initiative as we want to encourage kids and everyone in the community to spend their 67 minutes cleaning up and looking after the environment.”
The muppets will be available for the public to meet them from 11am to 12 noon at Motsweding Centre at 17 Arkwright Avenue in Wynberg which houses the offices of Galxcoc.
