Hijackers abandon bail application
ALEXANDRA - Three men, who were arrested in Alexandra on 29 October after a hijacking, recently abandoned their bail application when they appeared in Alexandra Magistrates' Court.
One of the suspects, a former policeman, is said to have been dismissed in 2013 for possession of stolen goods while stationed at Ga-Rankuwa Police Station.
The suspects will reappear in court on 11 December following further investigation.
The suspects were allegedly part of a gang posing as policemen in police uniforms who hijacked a company truck, which has yet to be found.
