Woman arrested after grisly discovery of a decomposing body found in shack
ALEXANDRA - Grisly discovery of a decomposing body of a man leads to arrest of a 41-year-old woman.
A woman (41) has been arrested after the police made a grisly discovery of a decomposing body of a 29-year-old man believed to have been her husband inside their shack on 14th Avenue on 18 February.
The police had been called to the scene by neighbours who had complained about a foul smell coming from their neighbour’s shack. On arrival, the police searched the shack and found the body.
Alex police spokesperson Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela said the walls of the shack were splattered with blood including the bed, a bucket, a chest of drawers, blankets, and some clothes. The deceased had a wound on his neck which was infested with larvae.
Maphakela said the woman was been arrested.
