Man nabbed in stolen car, house breaking tools found

A man from Kelvin was remanded in custody by Alexandra Magistrates’ Court pending further investigation for the possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
The 33-year-old suspect was arrested by Alex police on 16 July last year on the corner of 8th Avenue and Vincent Tshabalala Road in Alex while driving a Renault Cleo valued at R60 000.
The vehicle was checked and found to be reported stolen. A pickaxe and gloves were also found inside the vehicle and are suspected to be used in house robberies. The man was also found to be on parole in connection with a house robbery he committed in 2013.
