Cutlery thief ‘forks’ up
ALEXANDRA - An Alex man was remanded in custody by the Alexandra Magistrates Court pending sentencing for attempted theft of cutlery and other kitchen equipment from a Bramley Park company.
An Alex man was remanded in custody by the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court pending sentencing for the attempted theft of cutlery and other kitchen equipment from a company based in Bramley Park.
Talent Malatjie (27) was caught in the act by a security guard on patrol who found the man on the premises having gathered spoons, pots, cups, forks, an electric stove and a kettle.
When Malatjie failed to explain his presence on the premises and ownership of the cutlery and equipment to the security guard, the business manager and police were called.
Malatjie gained entry into the company’s kitchen through a broken window.
On arrival, police arrested Malatjie.
