EMMANUEL KAUITA: Yes, Youth Day is still important and today’s youth needs to be serious about their education, just like the youth of 1976. The right to better education should be of top priority for the youth of today.
EUNICE BALOYI: Yes, Youth Day is still important and still means a lot to many people in the country. If our children can realise the importance of the day, they will remember that fighting for your right to a decent education is very important. I believe that the day will continue to be a day to remember for our future generations.
BUYISILE KHANYILE: Youth Day is still important, especially for those who have been through it and have experienced it. The sad part is that today’s youth do not understand the meaning behind the day as they see it as a holiday and do not know that people died so that they could have a better future.
