5 George Martin produced Beatles songs we love

Acclaimed Beatles producer George Martin has passed away aged 90. Here are some of our favourite songs he produced for the band.

Revered Beatles producer and former manager George Martin passed away at age 90 on Tuesday evening, 8 March. Ringo Starr announced his death on Twitter sending a message of love to his family.

George Martin was regarded as the fifth member of the Beatles because of his influence on their sound and music evolution. The acclaimed producer signed the band to Parlophone Records when no one else would listen to them and collaborated on almost all of their records.

Several record labels had turned down The Beatles when Martin invited them for an audition at Abbey Road in June 1962. This would change the course of music history.
