In her interview with Joburg Today, MacKay, Political Analyst at the South African Institute of Race Relations says that the current results reveal that the country is probably going to enter into an era where coalition politics are a norm.
She also highlights that this means ‘people of the city [Johannesburg] and country are beginning to take charge and hold political parties to account and are also starting to realise the value of not just having one dominating party.’
