ALEXANDRA – Thieves steal Alex stadium property
Alex police are investigating a theft at the Alex Stadium on 12th Avenue which occurred at about midnight on 17 July this year.
Police spokesperson Lieutenant Allie Kodisang said a security guard on duty heard noises near the entry gate. He went to check and found the gate had been forced open and saw a group of unknown people walking away. The guard went to inquire with the groundsman who lives on the premises. They discovered that the storeroom’s door had been forced open and a four-plate stove and fridge were missing. The stolen items are valued at R10 000.
