Man rearrested for illegal gun and threatening to shoot sister
ALEXANDRA – Man rearrested after skipping bail for threatening to shoot sister.
An Alex man accused of illegal gun possession and threatening to shoot his sister, had his bail revoked and was remanded in custody by the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court.
He will appear in court on 29 August.
The court heard that the accused, who lived with his sister at their family home in 9th Avenue, was arrested on 13 November last year after allegedly threatening to shoot her following a quarrel. The sister reported him to the police who found the gun with its serial number filed off in a bag in his room.
The accused appeared in court and was granted bail but disappeared. He was recaptured in the township on 4 August this year and his was bail revoked while awaiting trial.
