Brazen thieves rob River Park man
ALEXANDRA - Two brazen thieves robbed a River Park man of his cellphone worth R2 600 in broad daylight at the corner of 1st Avenue and Rev Sam Buti Street.
Two brazen thieves robbed a River Park man of his cellphone worth R2 600 in broad daylight at the corner of 1st Avenue and Rev Sam Buti Street.
The man was walking home from work along Rev Sam Buti Street at about 5pm when two men approached him, one wielding a knife, and demanded that he give them money and his cellphone or they would stab him.
The unarmed suspect began searching him and took his cellphone. They did not find any money on his person and disappeared into the nearby shacks.
Alex police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela said the victim was not injured in the robbery and that no arrests have been made.
